Acupuncture, Qi & Meridians
Acupuncture is an essential part of Traditional Oriental Medicine. It is
a comprehensive health care system with a history of over 3000 years.
Basically acupuncture works to promote the body’s ability to heal itself.
Science has explained that energy flows throughout the universe including our bodies. The Chinese word for energy is qi (pronounced chee). Qi flows in the path of least resistance, and this forms the meridians within our body. These meridians carry the qi and information that cells and organs require to function properly and therefore keep the body in balance.
When the meridians become blocked the flow of qi becomes impeded. Therefore the cells and organs do not acquire the nutrients that they need in order to function at optimum levels. When the organs are not receiving the nutrients that they require we start to get illnesses occurring.
From an extremely basic point of view Pain-Free Acupuncture uses fine needles which unblock the meridians and allow the correct amount of nutrients and information to reach the cells and organs which in turn
allow the organs to function at optimum levels. This then allows the
body to correct itself and eliminate the problem.
Pain-Free Acupuncture uses fine needles and, in many cases, non-insertive Japanese techniques to give you an extremely refreshing and relaxing experience which is 100% Pain-Free. Matt incorporates Qigong (similar
to Reiki) as a peaceful treatment which utilises the energy from the environment to completely calm your mind, body, and soul. As Matt transfers energy through the needles he does not need to physically manipulate them, therefore avoiding the pain that most people experience with acupuncture.
